I can't believe that it has already been one year since I started The Emerald Slipper! This blog has meant more to me than I even thought it would and I have had so much fun creating content and growing as a blogger and as a person! I am so thankful to the people that supported me in starting The Emerald Slipper and extremely thankful to my hubby, Gus, who takes all of my pictures and has grown along with me. We are, by no means, experts yet and have so much to learn, but I feel confident that I have improved a great amount.

While this Ganni dress from Shopbop was a total splurge piece, it is actually a great staple and will be on repeat for sure! Animal print has been so trendy lately and I can see it continuing for quite some time. I love that this dress is so light and flowy. I also enjoyed the square neck and poufy sleeves. They are so flattering! I did find plenty of more affordable options that I have also linked above if you want to embrace the trend without breaking the bank.
For my accessories, I wanted to go with modern and feminine pieces that added a pop of color and others that played off of the black and beige leopard pattern. My shoes from Louise et Cie have been one of my favorite pairs in my closet for years. They are so comfy! See them styled here, here, and here.
I just purchased this bag and belt from Target and am in love. The bag is super cute and will work year round! It can be styled as both a crossbody bag and a clutch. The belt worked so well with this dress and cinched in the waist.
I finished off the look with more of my favorites! I love these Kate Spade Hoop earrings with this dress. I also wore my signature red lipstick from Kylie Cosmetics.

One Year of The Emerald Slipper!
This was from our first shoot! We went out for a date night and shot my favorite Kate Spade dress to this day. I had no idea what to do and felt so awkward and out of place in front of the camera. This picture was totally by accident when I was not paying attention! We got a total of three usable shots...
This was one of my most memorable, early shoots, with one of my most popular outfits! I wore an adorable, fall dress from Gal Meets Glam and tried to make the best of the extremely muddy pumpkin patch. Hoping this year is dry!
The first snow of the season. It was absolutely freezing cold but so gorgeous. Snow shoots have become my favorites!
Speaking of snow pictures, I'll just leave this one right here. This was one of the first shoots after we got our new camera!
Just in time for spring, we traveled to Turks and Caicos for a week with family and got some great tropical shots!
I turned 25 and did my favorite shoot ever!
Lilly even joined me for a few sessions! She is the best model.
