There is nothing better than a versatile piece of clothing! I am such a dress/skirt girl and love to maximize the use that I get out of an item. It is easy to think of a dress or skirt for a dressy event like date night or a party. There are also ways to style just about any dress or skirt for a casual day at the office, running errands, or getting yummy ice cream! All I had to do to take this dress from casual to dressy was change a few accessories. It is as easy as that!
Casual

I have so been loving tennis shoes with dresses for this summer! It is a such a cute and casual vibe and helps me stay cool in the heat! TBH...I hate wearing pants...jeans especially. This dress from Lulus is just so pretty, comfortable, and cute! It has been in my closet for a while so the exact piece is no longer available. I did find a ton of other options linked above though!
I added a light denim jacket with quite a bit of distressing and a more boyfriend fit to also add to the casual vibe. The jacket also covered up the straps of the dress which I felt make it seem a little dressier. Of course, for my shoes I had to have some Keds and I love that these particular shoes have a floral detail to add to the feminine look. To top off this look, I wore a lilac crossbody bag from Target and some minimal, gold stud earrings from H&M.

To dress this look up for a night out, I lost the jacket to show a little more skin and to showcase the neat neckline of this dress! I also changed my tennis shoes to some cute but comfortable heels by Betsey Johnson. I have styled these heels before and absolutely love them! I love the floral details and the glittery block heel. Low heels are also popular this summer and I totally get it! They add a little bit of height without sacrificing comfort.
For my accessories, I added a simple, Kate Spade bangle bracelet and some adorable floral hoop earrings from Etsy! I also added this beautiful silk scarf by Rachel Parcell to my purse. I chose all of these accessories to match my shoes and felt that they gave the look the perfect, feminine feel, perfect for my date night!
