This Friday, Gus had to work all day last minute, so our plans kind of shot out the window, as plans often do. As Fridays are my days off, I got to enjoy some time at home cleaning and relaxing, but I did go into town and visit Gus at the Courtyard when they had closed up shop for the night. We also re-shot this look around our place the next day. There is nothing better than a patterned dress in my opinion and a good winter floral is hard to beat. The pattern may seem weird for this time of year, and possibly remind you of your grandparents house..., but it is super in style right now. I also really enjoy its' timelessness and feminine and romantic feel!

Here are a few more of my favorite winter floral pieces (just click on the picture to shop!):

This adorable dress from Rebecca Taylor should look vaguely familiar if you have followed my blog posts for a while! I actually own a jumpsuit (seen here) in the exact same fabric! Instead of buying, I rented this dress through a program that Rebecca Taylor just started called RNTD. This is a program that you pay a certain amount of money up front, pick your favorite available pieces from their website, and get sent four of those items to wear for as long as you want! You can then choose to keep them or send them back, just like my Stitch Fix box that I have written about in the past. Since these clothes are more expensive than I normally feel comfortable paying, I liked that I could basically try them on, style them, and then send them back. All for way less money than it would be to purchase them.

This dress is great quality, a good heavy fabric, and more of a shift shape, so I felt very cute in it! Above, I have linked some similar dresses that are more affordable and also included some more of my favorite winter floral pieces!

These boots, from Nordstrom, were the inspiration behind the whole thing! There are many times when picking out an outfit that I have the shoes in mind before any other piece in the look. I am so in love with them because of their adorable lace up detail! They remind me of ice skates. They have a brown block heel, so they were pretty easy to wear around the town and on the grass. At first, the boots were a little tight, but after loosening the laces and walking around in them for a while, they formed to my feet wonderfully and were very comfortable.

When wearing any length of dress or skirt in the winter, I almost always wear a good pair of tights/pantyhose underneath to keep warm. I own a couple pairs of both nude and black tights (opaque and sheer). If I want the extra layer without the look of wearing tights, I wear the nude color. If I want the most coverage, I will wear opaque tights. These are from Target and are so great!

I have shared this bag with you all in the past (see here) and so enjoy how well it went with this look! It brings out the burgundy in the floral print wonderfully! I purchased this bag from Rebecca Minkoff as a final sale clearance item, so it is no longer available. I have linked some very similar bags above!

I recently discovered that I can pull off a beret, after never wearing hats basically my whole life. This beret is so cute and perfect for the winter! Available in 7 color ways, this wool blend hat can go well with many of your wardrobe for the season and add a cute statement!

For my jewelry, I wore a simple pair of cluster studs from Rocksbox. I have linked a similar pair above.

Also, for my lipstick, I wore the shade, Sweater Weather, from the Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Mini 8 Piece Lip Set. Check out more of my favorite lip colors for the season here!
