The Emerald Workout Set

Fitness is super important to me and is a big part of my everyday life. Between the end of my Junior year of high school and the start of my Freshman year of college, I lost over 70 pounds. The weight loss was great, but I had to learn the difference between being thin and being healthy. I had to switch from the mindset of working out and eating to lose weight to the mindset of working out and eating to live longer, feel better, and get stronger. While my heavier self from my high school career seems like another life, I still struggle with body image issues and low self esteem. Because of that, these kinds of pictures are somewhat of a challenge for me to post, but I am proud of what my body has accomplished the last few years and am always inspired by the body positivity movement.

I absolutely love matching workout sets. Cute workout gear in general gets me in the mindset to be active, even though I work out at home! This crop top and 7/8 legging from Outdoor Voices are just too cute. The top has a great cutout detail in the back. I also enjoy the ombre color block pattern. The leggings continue the ombre look and are super comfortable. I am 5' 4 1/2" tall, so I always try to. get 7/8 length tights. Full length tights just leave a ton of fabric around my ankles! This length is just right for shorter girls. I did find out recently that there are other leggings that are supposed to go with this crop top but they are sold out. I feel like these leggings still work with the top! Both items fit true to size and are great quality.

As an added layer, I wore this dark green, cropped, fleece sweatshirt from Everlane with the outfit. I love a good cropped sweatshirt with workout gear and the fact that this one is fleece, and comes in 7 color ways, made it even better! The fit is oversized, so I sized down and still had a good amount of room!

Puma is one of my favorite brands for stylish and functional sneakers. This black and white pair can go with any workout outfit, fits well, and is very comfortable. It actually has a memory foam insole that forms to your foot and gives support! While I have had this pair for quite some time, I have linked some very similar options above. I also wore a great pair of black and grey Puma socks with the shoes that are one of my go-to pairs.

I went with fun Dutch braid pigtails and a clean, natural face using one of my favorite lipsticks from Covergirl to give my look more polish. (I never wear makeup when I work out; I just did for these pictures). I am hoping to do some hair tutorials in the future and will try to include this hairstyle!
