This is a huge #fbf today, since I am sharing one of my last shoots from our Spring Break trip to Turks and Caicos. That was already FIVE months ago... Time flies. I saved the best look for last for our final night in Turks and we went for a walk on the beach before supper to get these amazing shots.
When I was looking at Rent the Runway for some great maxi dresses for a tropical location, I stumbled on this one and knew it was meant to be! While this dress was a little long for me ,which, let's face it, is pretty much always my problem with maxi dresses, I absolutely loved it! I felt pretty and elegant and it caught the wind on the beach beautifully. This dress fits true to size. If you don't want to rent, I have found some great, similar dresses linked above!
I went for my go-to bamboo bag from Amazon for this look. I felt like it added that beachy vibe to the outfit without sacrificing the dressiness. I also wore my bracelet that I purchased on the island for a shopping trip, made from shells. I have found similar bracelets linked above.
I finished off the look with some shell and pearl statement earrings from Forever 21. They have since sold out but I have found some similar ones linked above as well! I also wore my signature red lip. This particular shade is from Kylie Cosmetics.
Instagram vs. Real Life
Most of the time, when we see/post a picture on Instagram, or any other social media platform, we post the best versions of ourselves. We use the best pictures and most people never see all that went into getting those couple of perfect shots. I wanted to share my Behind the Scenes/Bloopers from this shoot since they are just too good. You can definitely tell that I am from Kansas and am not used to a beach!

Saving the best for last... This one is embarrassing! We captured the moment I realized a huge wave was right behind me. Possibly my most attractive face ever.
