Spending the Day in Rent the Runway

For the new year, I decided to try something different! It kinda comes with the territory but, being a fashion blogger, I love clothes. The blog is super fun and all, but to keep things fresh, it is good to have new pieces in your closet all of the time, as well as your normal go-to's. Obviously, doing this can add up, so I am exploring other options to keep my closet fresh and new!

Rent the Runway is a unique business that allows you to browse countless styles of name brand clothing (and accessories), pick your favorites, and rent them! I have tried Rent the Runway just once before for a special event. This service is a wonderful option for events, especially more formal ones, where you would wear a dress that you might not ever wear again. Rent the Runway allows you access to beautiful gowns, cute dresses, skirts, etc with three different options for renting.

1. Normal: Rent one item of your choice for a specific date.

2. RTR Update: 4 items fo your choice for the month at a set price.

3. RTR Unlimited: 4 items at a time but on constant rotation, unlimited swaps, at a set price.

So far, I have experienced nothing but good things with Rent the Runway, and highly suggest it!

This The Fifth Label dress, from Rent the Runway, is perfect for coming out of the holidays! It still makes me feel festive, but in a modern way. The fit was wonderful and the quality was great! I love the crop length that shows off my legs, the unique sleeves, and the ruffle details around the shoulders, neck, and skirt. The shape is very flattering as well and it can be dressed up or down! While it is sold out in stores, I did find some similar options above, and you can always rent it through Rent the Runway!

I styled this look with these amazing Louise et Cie Sock Booties from Nordstrom. They add some sass and keep the look more modern. I absolutely love these boots for a night out, but they are good with just about any outfit! (See them in different looks here and here) They are also super comfortable while still providing some height! Also, they are on sale right now for 40% off!!

In the winter months, I always wear my dresses with some kind of tights underneath, for added warmth. I went with a more sheer pair with this look to show off my legs a little more and because it has been pretty warm outside for the last week. A more opaque tight, however, can look great as well! They provide more warmth and, if worn with black boots like the ones above, can make your legs look super long. These particular tights are from Target!

This Zac Zac Posen bag, also from Rent the Runway, was the perfect cherry on top of the outfit! It added a great pop of color while highlighting the red in the pattern of the dress as well. I really liked the clasp detail at the front of the bag and the short strap! This bag is not as big as it looks on the inside, however, so plan on it fitting the same amount of items as a clutch. You can rent this from Rent the Runway, or find similar styles above!

To finish off the look, I wore some simple, gold hoop earrings from H&M and a ring set from Rocksbox. While I did find the set of hoops (I would get them quick, as styles at H&M tend to circulate quickly), I was unable to find the rings, so I have linked a similar set above. I also wore one of my favorite lipsticks from Kylie Cosmetics in the shade Pomegranate.
