Gus and I are vacationing in Grand Lake, Colorado this week and spent time this morning around our family cabin shooting some of my favorite pictures of all time! Most times of the year are gorgeous in the Rocky Mountains, but the fall has proven to be unique and magical. While we have been suffering 90 plus degree weather at home in Kansas, the weather here has been in the 60's. The aspen trees have turned to beautiful gold or peach colors, and the wild elk are bugling in search for mates (hoping to get some pictures with the aspen later this week!). Gus and his family have been vacationing here for most of their lives. I have been traveling here with them since Gus and I started dating six years ago and it is still one of my favorite places in the United States!
Kate Spade was a wonderful designer and her brand still continues to be fabulous. I have never felt more at home than I do in her clothing. I fell in love with this handkerchief print shirt dress and had to splurge on it, as it is the perfect fall dress for me! The dress has the perfect amount of feminine touch and western style that is so in right now. The waist and middle stripes on the dress are delicate, floral embroidery that adds so much to the look.
I have linked these suede booties from Nordstrom in a previous post and thought they paired perfectly with this dress! They add a pop of color to the outfit and still have a western style. I also styled this outfit with a white, fringe bag from DSW, some green fringe earrings from Rocksbox (on sale right now!), and some floral and pearl rings to tie the look together. I could not find the exact rings, but I have linked some similar, beautiful rings above.
