Playful Polka Dots

(Thank you to Pettle's Flowers for the beautiful bouquet! -Link Below)

When I think of the spring and summer seasons, I think of many things. I think of warm weather, no school, pools, tans, gardening, etc. I also think of color! For spring, the colors are more muted and pastel. For summer, colors are bright and fun. This look mixes a little of both! I have said this before, but when I style a look, I usually pick one piece to base everything off of. Let's see if you can tell what piece that is with this look!

This polka dot blouse from Zara has been a closet staple for me since last spring, when polka dots were just starting to become a big deal. Since it is old, I could not find the exact top for you, but have linked some other great options! To me, this top is so unique and fun and it has everything that you would want in a top. It has a great pattern that goes with anything, some ruffle detailing, and short sleeves and a mock neck that make it work-appropriate. It is such a versatile, yet stylish, piece of clothing!

This lovely midi skirt from Chicwish is also a versatile and fun piece for your closet! The mustard color is great for spring, early summer, and can transition well into fall! The midi length is great for work or just for a great everyday look! I love the subtle detailing of the middle hem that transitions into the ruffled bottom. It almost has a scallop pattern to it! The skirt also has a slight western feel to it, which is so in style right now as well.

These amazing Betsey Johnson shoes, which I purchased from Modcloth, were the star of the show! If you couldn't guess, they are what I based the entire look off of. These sandals are definitely a statement piece. There is a lot going on with the polka dot pattern and the different colored baubles and fringe, but I saw them and loved them! They are quirky but with a simple silhouette and that makes them great pieces for your closet if you want to have a little fun/take some risks!

This Urban Expressions bag from Nordstrom Rack was a great addition to the look. I wanted to keep things springy with a straw bag and the pastel pink color on the top flap fit in perfectly! Honestly, with those shoes, I could have made any color bag work with the look. I went for a more subdued pink since that is my go to color for this season.

Also, I wanted to do a shoutout to Pettle's Flowers for this beautiful flower arrangement that was made to match my look! They did a wonderful job and even included a cute little ladybug on one of the flowers. Can you see it?

To tie everything together, I finished off my look with this gorgeous faux suede belt from the newest Rachel Parcell collection from her collaboration with Nordstrom! While almost all sold out, her collection was a favorite for me because of its beautiful feminine dresses and amazing accessories! This belt went so well with the bag and helped to draw the eye in to the waist and give the the outfit some shape.

I also wore some really neat statement earrings by Baublebar that went perfectly with the shoes! They are, sadly, sold out but I have linked a great pair of earrings above!

To top it all off, I wore a pretty pink shade of glossy lipstick by L'Oreal Paris.
