I am in love with these pictures!! Gus and I have been married for a little over three years now and for a long time I have really wanted to get some family pictures taken at our house for our memories! Yes, our family means us and our two puppies, Lilly and Lucy. They are very much our children, lol. Kansas has gone through some changes since these pictures were taken, so it feels like a lot more time has passed since then. We have had two snows, lows in the teens, and have lost all of the leaves off of our trees. Winter has come! I am also excited for Gus's debut on the blog and have linked not only my outfit, but his as well!
This dress and matching jacket from Gal Meets Glam are so gorgeous, some of my favorite pieces in my closet, and even more beautiful in person. The tweed fabric has flecks of blue and sparkly gold that catches the light! It is very high quality, as Gal Meets Glam dresses always are, and was very popular when it launched last month, so there are only a few left on Nordstrom. I have linked some similar options above. I also included some tweed skirts and their matching jackets to get a similar look!
To play up the navy accents in the tweed material of the dress, I chose these classic Vince Camuto Faux Suede Pumps from Nordstrom. The height of the heel (3 1/4") was just high enough for me and still very comfortable! The navy color, suede fabric and closed toe make these a versatile, year-round option.
For my jewelry, I wore a gold teardrop necklace from Target, some pearl ear crawlers, and a gold and white ring from Rocksbox. I wanted to keep the accessories simple to showcase the beautiful tweed of the dress and jacket. As a last minute addition, Lilly and Lucy wore some denim ribbon from Hobby Lobby tied into bows!
Gus's outfit was mostly from Kohl's (everything except the tie and watch). Kohl's is a great place to shop for inexpensive and stylish pieces, especially for men. It is obviously one of Gus's favorites! The tie was a gift from me last Christmas and is part of a large Tie Bar box from Nordstrom. This box was one of the amazing gifts for men I included in my gift guide on Monday. For more gift ideas for the holidays, click here! His watch means a lot to the both of us, as it was my gift to him on our wedding day.

I am currently in Indianapolis at a percussion convention, so I will be busy with anything and everything to do with drums the rest of this week! However, I should hopefully have another post up on Friday or Saturday. Hope you all have a great week!
