Our last snow here in central Kansas was already a couple weeks ago, and we braved the cold to get some pictures in it! While the temperatures are not my favorite, there are not many things on this earth that are prettier to me than snow. I love that it completely transforms any environment into a magical and peaceful place. I always feel so calm and cool (no pun intended) when I am at home and the ground is covered and snow flakes are falling. This outfit is great for a day spent in the snow!

This mock neck sweater from H&M is seriously the coziest and warmest sweater that I have ever owned. While a bit itchy, you will definitely not get cold. It was below freezing outside when we took these pictures and I was pretty comfortable without my coat! The fabric is so great for the winter months! I love the fit, shorter in the front and longer in the back, so you can wear with leggings and still look put together. There is a slit up both sides for a more flattering effect, and the deep green color is perfect. This sweater also comes in a light grey and I am very tempted to buy that color as well.

Since the sweater is oversized and longer in the back, I chose these Spanx faux leather leggings from Nordstrom to style with it. I actually don't have a problem with wearing leggings as pants ever, but I know that some do. These leggings are very comfortable but still give the right amount of support. They are opaque, so they do not show anything when bending over or sitting down. They also have a bit of a shimmer that makes them look like leather! This adds a dressier and sexier vibe to them and, as a result, they can be dressed up or down.

This blanket scarf from Target was the perfect accessory to the look! I love adding a touch of pattern or texture to every one of my looks to keep things interesting, and I loved the pattern and fringe on this scarf! It is also very warm and can be worn a lot of different ways (see video below!). Sadly, this scarf is sold out, as I bought it a while ago, but I have linked some similar options above!

A couple of years ago, I bought these great snow boots from Dick's Sporting Goods for a trip to Colorado, and I have loved them ever since! They are lined with faux fur, even on the inside, and are waterproof so your feet stay warm and dry. It is super important for me when I look for snow boots that they have both style and function and I only have one pair at a time, since they can be a bit of a splurge. These exact boots are sold out but I have linked some great options above! I also wore some beige, knee high socks folded over with my boots for an added layer.

This Michael Kors backpack was the perfect addition to the outfit! It is a great mixture of sporty, casual, and dressy, so it can pair with many outfits. I also enjoy the details on the front. See how I wore this backpack with previous looks here and here I styled this outfit with some faux leather gloves from H&M as well. Leather gloves are so pretty and classy and the zipper detail on this pair fit in so well with the bag.

To top the look off, I wore this adorable cable knit beanie from H&M. It was a great way to tie in the grey of the scarf and the pom pom on the top is super cute and fun! For my lip color, I used Kylie Cosmetics matte lipstick in the shade Boss. It is a great color for any time of year but especially for the winter! Here's hoping we get many more beautiful snows this winter! I am truly dreaming of a white Christmas.. Last week on the Emerald Slipper, I got a record number of visits to this site! Thank you to all of you for your continued support. I am growing slowly but surely! <3
