I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have had successful Black Friday shopping! I am so excited to share all of these pictures with you! This is another outfit from when we had the five or six inches of beautiful snow a couple weeks ago. Even though it was very early for what we are used to here in Kansas, it really got us into the holiday spirit. Now, with Thanksgiving behind us, everyone is putting up Christmas decorations and shopping for gifts for friends and family. Christmas carols are playing on almost every radio station it seems and my students and I have been playing them as a fun activity during our lessons! The next couple of days will be full of decorating for me as I put up my Christmas trees, and much more, at my studio and my home. This outfit is great for just about any holiday activity whether that is a family get-together, a work function, or just a day about the town.

This tweed skirt from Gal Meets Glam is the perfect holiday piece! It is a nice, heavy tweed material, perfect for the colder weather. I so enjoy all of the different colors weaved into the pattern. There is a little blue, a little red/pink, a little gold, as well as black. The gold has some sparkle to it so the skirt has some added glamor. It would work with many different colored items! This skirt is a great length and is flattering for all body types. Gal Meets Glam just came out with a holiday collection that is unbelievable and has more amazing skirts that are all great for the holiday season!

To contrast the color of the skirt and the coat, I chose black as a base layer for the outfit. This black turtleneck shirt from H&M is a great, inexpensive option. Turtlenecks are the best in the fall/winter! This one, in particular, is so versatile and is more fitted, so it is great for pairing with skirts. It isn't very thick, which can be a good and bad thing. On one hand, it doesn't show lines in your skirt/pants from where you tuck it in. On the other hand, it isn't as warm as you might like, but that's what coats are for!

I purchased this trench coat from Lulu's back in the early spring of last year, so it sadly is not longer available. I did find very similar options and linked them above. This coat isn't very heavy, so it would be great for fall and spring. However, with added layers like the turtleneck underneath, I still stayed pretty warm. I loved that this coat was light, as it moved well with the slight wind and it contrasted the heavier, more structured fabric of the skirt. It also brought out the pink tones in the tweed. Blush is not normally a color that one associates with winter, but pastel colors are so in style at the moment. The lighter colors feel so magical in the snow!

I have shared these boots from Nordstrom in a couple posts already (here and here). They are just so good! The heel hight is tall (3 3/4") but they are super comfortable for a couple hours at least for me! The suede material and knee high length is perfect for a snowy, winter day like this one! Just be careful about getting them too wet. (I have learned my lesson now with a different pair of boots..) This time around, these boots are on sale for 40% off!! If you have been coveting them in previous posts, now is the time to buy before they sell out! I did link some less expensive options above as well.

This beautiful, white bag from DSW is a favorite of mine and I have had it for quite some time. The white color stood out so well from the rest of the outfit and plays with the white pearl accents on the beret and my jewelry. This is actually my first hat that I have absolutely loved! Anyone who knows me, knows that I don't really do hats. I love them on everyone else, but when I put one on, I hate it! I saw this beret when shopping the new Halogen X Atlantic-Pacific collection with Nordstrom and loved it so much that I had to take a chance and buy it. I didn't know what to think at first, but after these pictures, I am so happy with my purchase! The pearl accents are something unique and feminine. Right up my alley.

I chose all pearl jewelry to match the pearls in the beret. These pearls were a gift from my mother, so I have found some similar options from Etsy linked above! Pearls are just such a classy option and I love pairing them with a black turtleneck. This gorgeous lipstick, in the shade Vacay, is from Kylie Cosmetics. It is super pigmented and matte, so it stays on well and has to be one of my favorite shades of lipstick ever. I love bold colors in the winter, especially against the snow!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and stays safe if you are traveling. I am excited for the possibility of snow tomorrow! More coming soon! <3
