Thanksgiving has passed and we are in full holiday mode now! I really think the blizzard we had two days ago really helped with that. I don't think I remember such a snowy winter and we have just gotten started! While the snow can be a hindrance, especially to the people who were trying to get home after spending time with loved ones this weekend, it always brings some peacefulness and joy to our surroundings. As long as you are safe and warm indoors, that is... Once the snow let up, Gus and I braved the cold temperatures to shoot some more looks for you all in this lovely setting. For this look, I wanted to show a fun, quirky, Christmas sweater outfit for all of your upcoming office parties, get togethers with friends and family, and other semi-casual holiday happenings!

This is as close to an "ugly" Christmas sweater as you will ever see me wear. I found this sweater with the new items on the Boden USA website and loved it! It is quirky, sassy, and feminine and somewhat challenges what is traditional for Santa Claus (if you want to take it deeper than just surface level lol!). I enjoyed that the sweater is warm, but fairly thin, so it is easy to tuck in and didn't leave bumps. It is light grey in color and can be very versatile. You can style this top with jeans and mules for a more casual look or with a skirt and heels to dress it up!

I styled the sweater with a pair of pants from my closet that I have owned for a while and not really found anything to wear with them. I believe I bought them from Lulus but when looking at their website, I could not find them. That is totally expected, as they are a year or two old. That being said, I have found some amazing similar options for you linked above! Velvet pants are very in style at the moment for the winter and I understand why! These particular wide-leg pants have an elastic waistband and the softest velvet fabric. They are super comfortable and still look classy and put-together! I always love when I can find affordable pants that feel like sweats and look like $1000.

This faux suede coat from Zara was the perfect addition to the outfit. It matches the color of the pants very well and also complimented the sweater to create a polished look. The matching colors make the outfit almost like a suit, but with a flair to it with the differing fabrics and proportions of the coat and pants. This coat is super affordable (only $50!) but looks much more expensive than it is. The only downsides is that it is not lined, thus, not as warm, and it does not have a closure. However, if you wish to close the coat, just use a belt from your closet and tie it around the outside!

I chose these boots not only because they are some of my all-time favorites, but because the grey plaid tied in the grey sweater with the outfit and embraced the quirkiness as well. These boots from Target are not only in style, but super cute and great quality! They are also very affordable. I have gotten so much wear out of them already. With just a kitten heel height (2.25") they are super comfortable and easy to wear all day.

I have worn this bag from Nordstrom with a previous blog post, and loved it with this look as well! It was a slightly different red color than the coat and pants, but paired with the red in the sweater. For a monochromatic look, different shades of the same color are super cool and add dimension to the outfit! This bag can be worn as either a crossbody bag or the strap can be detached and the bag can be carried as a clutch. It is a good size, so it carries everything you need (ie. phone, lipstick, credit card/cash, ID, and a car key)!

I kept accessories minimal to keep the outfit more casual. I found similar earrings to the pair I am wearing above from JCrew, as they are no longer available. They are linked above!

Also, I am wearing one of my favorite lip shades, Red Hot, from Kylie Cosmetics. Her Creme Lipstick is everything. Long-lasting, pigmented, and non-drying.

I wanted to include this picture of frozen me as a sort of behind-the-scenes lol! It was sooo windy and cold outside but I was determined to get some snow pictures. I never know how long it will last!

Thank you all so much for supporting me through this journey of "amateur fashion blogger". I am having a blast and can't wait to share more with you. Have a great week! More coming soon! <3
