Freezing Florals

I have felt a little bit crazy the last couple weeks, taking pictures out in the cold! This week has brought some of the lowest temperatures for the winter here in Kansas, and yet, with Spring Break occurring next week already, it is time for spring fashion... I am starting to find pieces that are transitional; spring colors and patterns but made with warm fabrics. I am so ready for warmer weather!

Gus and I will have a short respite from the brutal temperatures next week! I am excited to share with you all where we are going for spring break, but for now, I will share this beautiful spring look!

This Rebecca Taylor La Vie top is the perfect transitional piece! With a beautiful floral pattern and ruffled texture, it works well for both spring and winter. This shirt has a unique button-up back, shown above, and a feminine vibe that I love. It is sold out in stores but is available to rent through Rebecca Taylor RNTD. I also linked some similar long sleeve floral tops above!

Midi a-line skirts are my favorite silhouette ever. They are so flattering, I think, for so many body shapes and different ages! They draw the eye to the smallest part of your body and have that vintage and modest vibe, which I love. This particular skirt from Chicwish is not only affordable but made with a heavy velvet fabric that is great for colder temperatures. It has such a neat quilted pattern that sets it apart from other midi skirts. It is sold out in this color, though I did find it in an XS, but you can still find this skirt on Chicwish in a very pretty green color.

While these gorgeous SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker pumps from Saks Fifth Avenue are a splurge, they have been worth every penny for me. They are such great quality and are so classic and pretty. Sarah Jessica is a fashion idol for me and she is the queen of shoes. I had dreamed of owning a pair of shoes from her brand since watching and becoming obsessed with Sex and the City. White heels are a staple for spring style, as they are fresh, bright, and light. They give life to any outfit. I included some other great heels above as well as the original pair.

I accessorized the look with this pretty, white bag from DSW. I love the fringe details that pair well with the western vibe of the shirt and the contrast the white color has against the pink skirt. I have used this bag in many past looks (see here) and it continues to be one of my favorites!

I also wore a pretty, pink ring from H&M to accompany the feminine look.

The last of my accessories was this pair of adorable tassel earrings, also from H&M, that worked so well with the fringe bag and the coloring of the entire look. I also wore a special lip kit color from Kylie Cosmetics called Strawberry Cream. It screams spring to me and is so sweet and pretty.
