Gus and I ventured around Grand Lake in search of some groves of aspen trees to capture the beautiful fall colors that they are known for this time of year! We were directed to a mountain pass close to town that was full of them! The views were gorgeous and I even found some leaves to play in. 😊This outfit was perfect for this setting and is one of my favorites that I have posted about so far. I loved the playfulness of the sweater and paired it with my favorite skirt ever! This embellished navy sweater from Boden is so adorable. It has four rhinestone and sequin birds that add just the right amount of quirkiness and fun to the outfit. The sweater was warm and cozy, perfect for a cool fall day. If skirts aren't your thing, it would also look great with either some skinny or straight fit jeans and some cute metallic boots.

This skirt is honestly my favorite skirt ever. I bought it last fall from Lulus, and could not wait to pull it out of storage for fall again this year! The skirt is made of faux suede, and it has a pleating detail that adds very nice texture. The fabric is also super luxe and heavy weight, so it feels very nice! I was so sad to find out that Lulus has since sold out of this color of the skirt (I did find something very similar to it in blush!), and will keep my eye out for a restock, but I have linked some similar skirts above!

I styled this sweater and skirt with a lovely pair of Marc Fisher sock booties from DSW. I absolutely love the suede trend and these boots were the perfect match with the sweater. The 2 3/4 inch heels for me are super comfortable. I can usually last all day in anything 3 inches or less. Also, the wide heel was great for crawling around in the aspens and would work well for walking around town/shopping/anything! I also found this lovely bag at DSW. I am a big fan of anything Kate Spade and their fall collection of bags had one very similar to this bag. I desperately wanted it but just couldn't justify the price, so when I found this one at DSW, I couldn't pass it up! I have linked some similar bags above and they seem to be pretty popular, so check them out fast!

I kept my jewelry simple for this outfit as the sweater was enough bling for me. My earrings were from a 4 pack of studs from H&M, and I wore a couple rings from Rocksbox and H&M. I also tried a different hairstyle! I am still getting used to my short hair, and don't experiment as often as I used to with it, so this half-up style was a new thing for me. I finished the look off with a burgundy lipstick from Pat McGrath!
