It is two days before Thanksgiving and I am very excited to spend time with family and friends, eating good food, playing games, and catching up. The weather has warmed up some this week and with the time before Turkey Day, Black Friday shopping, and Christmas decorations dwindling, I am trying to find time to catch up from our trip this last weekend and starting to plan gifts and holiday posts! Today was just another crazy day and I thought I would share a casual Thanksgiving day outfit option for you all! While this exact outfit, shop above, will not arrive before Thanksgiving, I am betting that you have most of these pieces in your closet already: a cardigan, a bodysuit/tank top, a pair of jeans, and booties. I love that this outfit looks put-together and adorable, but is still very comfortable and casual for those holiday get-togethers where no-one really dresses up.
I always try to find one piece that gives visual interest in all of my outfits, whether that is with a pattern, texture, or color. This color blocked cardigan from Bohme is a great piece! It is super warm and cozy, perfect for cold winter days. The color block print adds some different lines to the outfit and the neutral color makes it a very versatile piece! I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of this cardigan all season long.
For the most flattering fit when wearing a more oversized piece, it is smart to make the rest of your outfit items more fitted, so your look doesn't end up looking too slouchy. I highly recommend sporting a bodysuit when wearing cardigans. Bodysuits are flattering, snug fitting, and don't untuck or ride up during the day's activities! They are super versatile and, if they fit right, don't leave any lines. I don't remember where I got this particular bodysuit, but have linked some great options above. Body suits are great for Thanksgiving because some have extra support, like the Spanx brand, to make you look your best even when you are stuffed.
These wedgie fit jeans by Levi's are my go to pair for a casual outfit. I love them so much, I actually have two pairs! They fit true to size and like a dream, cinching in the waist and hugging my curves in all the right places. All while being a little relaxed in the fit! The high waist is perfect for tucking in sweaters or wearing with bodysuits.
I have shared these boots and bag in previous posts here and here, but this is my first time pairing them together and I love it! I purchased the bag from Nordstrom last summer but it has since sold out. I have linked some similar options above. I enjoyed that this bag has some similar color blocking, just like the cardigan! These booties from Target are the perfect casual accessory. The zipper details and the chunky heel make them a cute but casual addition to the look. I can seriously wear them all day! My belt was also from Target and was a great way to balance the outfit and to add even more definition to the waist. The double buckle detail is a unique and different look.
Last, but not least, is this beautiful jewelry, all from H&M. H&M is a great place to find stylish and inexpensive jewelry to help build your collection and stay up with trends! Layered necklaces are very in style right now and these coin necklaces were a great way to embrace the trend. They fit the look so well! I also enjoyed these gold fringe dangle earrings. They are still simple but add a little bohemian vibe to the look. I also wore some rings from a 9 piece set.
