Suede and Skinny Jeans

Last Friday was a pretty chill day for Gus and me, so we had to get some pictures in for the day! We had a date night at the Renaissance Cafe in Assaria and then caught the end of our nephew's football game. Since the weather was very chilly for this time of year (only around 52 degrees for a high), and because of the more casual date night we had, I decided to dress up a pair of jeans and wear my new suede moto jacket that I purchased from the Nordstrom sale a couple months ago. I absolutely love this jacket for fall! When I bought this jacket, the burgundy color (my first color choice) was sold out, but I left my color comfort zone and got the green instead! I have been so happy with this purchase since. The jacket provides structure and a little masculinity to the outfit. This jacket is still available on Nordstrom's website, but it obviously is no longer on sale. I have linked some more affordable, but just as cute, options above!

I wanted to offset the edginess of the jacket and the jeans with some flirty and feminine pieces to make it more my style. This top from Kate Spade caught my eye as soon as I went on their website to look at the fall collection. I usually love anything by Kate Spade, but purchase it sparingly because of the prices. This top has delicate ruffles around the shoulders and neck and a polka dot textured fabric. The top is fairly sheer, so make sure to wear an undershirt if you want more coverage. I wore this top tucked in at the front to show off my belt bag and my high waisted jeans.

I love a good Old Navy Skinny Jean. These are the best! These high-waisted, black jeans are edgy, but professional. They are flattering to any body shape, and would work for almost any situation. You can wear them to work or just doing everyday errands. These jeans have a bit of stretch to them, so they are very comfortable. I will be wearing these on repeat this fall and winter. Did I mention, most of these jeans are around $30!?

Like with most of my outfits, I based this whole look off of my shoes. These boots from DSW are everything. I love the fall floral print (would work for all seasons in my opinion) and the mesh material that helps my feet to not get too hot or cold! Kitten heels are very in style right now as well. They give you just a little bit of hight but are super comfortable and practical. I could stand in these boots for hours. I chose this beautiful studded Michael Kors belt bag from Macys to match the burgundy flowers on my boots. While they are not for everyone, I am fully invested in the fanny pack trend. They are just so practical and stylish! It was very freeing to not have to carry around a bag to the football game and worry about spilled drinks, theft, or dirty stadium stands. I would say the only downside is the smaller size, but belt bags usually have enough space for your wallet (sometimes I just bring my ID and a credit card), keys, lipstick, and phone. Everything you need!

I kept my jewelry modern and simple for this look. My earrings were simple studs from Rocksbox. I have linked some similar options for you above. My rings were a mixture of different sets I have purchased from H&M, and individual rings from Rocksbox. I cannot recommend Rocksbox enough. I am so bad at shopping for jewelry and they make it so easy! Check out my first blog post, in which I wrote in greater detail about Rocksbox and their services.
