It is finally December and winter is here! Usually my cycle is excitement until after New Years and then sheer depression until May.. Winter is fun for a little while but gets old fast! However, I have been enjoying the snow very much and the pictures that it allows us to capture! This shoot was done a while back mainly for the creation of my gift guide, but I wanted to share this adorable winter outfit with you all as well! It was seriously the COLDEST day and the wind was blowing very strong, so a lot of these shots are me dying in the cold and my breath being taken away. Many of these items are old, but I have done my best to re-create the look with some amazing pieces linked above!

Poor Lilly braved the cold with me for just a minute or so, but we had just enough time to capture some precious photos! This sweater from the November Halogen X Atlantic-Pacific collaboration with Nordstrom is one of my favorite pieces from that collection. While a bit pricey, the material (cotton and cashmere) is super soft and lux, and the quality is great. I also adore the balloon sleeves and pearl buttons along one shoulder. They are a nice and stylish touch to the unique sweater. It worked great with a skirt and was thick, but still looked great tucked into the skirt.

This skirt from J. Crew is seriously the perfect holiday piece for your closet! The color, a beige/gold shimmer, could go with any color and can elevate any outfit. It is a great quality piece and totally worth the purchase! The fit is very flattering and the shape would work with any body type in my opinion. You can wear this to any event this season and look amazing.

Because of the frigidness, I threw on this oatmeal wool blend coat from H&M at the last minute. I have worn this coat with many outfits in the past (here and here) and it is one of my go-to winter pieces for this year. It is just so versatile! While it, unfortunately, is sold out, I have found similar options linked above. I even found a pretty affordable coat from Nordstrom!

Sheer socks with heels is a unique styling idea I have seen on my Instagram lately that I would have never thought to do! It is a great option for those of you who are maybe a bit more daring and want to extend the life of your strappy heels during the winter. My feet definitely appreciated the added layer from these adorable, polka dot socks from DSW that day and I feel like they, along with the tulle skirt and bows on the heels, added a cute and whimsical aspect to the look. These heels have been with me for a pretty long time. I can't actually remember where I bought them from! I did look everywhere for them but with no avail. So, I have linked some other amazing options above!

I have linked this clutch from Nordstrom in the past post, and thought that it worked perfectly with this look! There are hints of rose gold, gold, and red in the sequins and beading that tie everything together! Accessories like this can make multiple color combinations possible. You can wear red, blue, pink, navy, gold, white, etc. all together and style it with this bag and it just works!

My only jewelry, besides my wedding ring, were these great, rose gold, tassel earrings from J. Crew. The rose gold and tassels made them the perfect addition to the outfit, as they paired well with the color of the skirt and added some texture as well. When wearing a statement jewelry piece, I usually keep the rest of my jewelry pretty minimal, so I do not look overpowered by my accessories.

Lilly is wearing a Christmas dress from Petco that I bought for my other puppy, Lucy, about three years ago.. Let's just say, it is a little too small for her now! Petco has many great clothing options for your pets that can help keep them warm this season.
